Saudi Arabia MoH Visits Mindray for In-depth Collaboration

On December 2nd, a delegation led by His Excellency Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel, Minister of Health of Saudi Arabia, visited Mindray's headquarters. Joining him were Fahad bin Mohammed AlShebel, CEO of the National Unified Procurement Company (NUPCO), and Nasser Al Huqbani, CEO of Health Holding Company. They were welcomed by Mindray President Wu Hao, Senior Vice President Li Zaiwen, and General Manager of the International Division Xu Kewen.

The visit aimed to explore Mindray's Intelli-Digital Solution and discuss strategic cooperation plans for the healthcare transformation within the Saudi Vision 2030. The delegation first toured Mindray's showroom, followed by a meeting to discuss future vision and collaboration opportunities.

During the meeting, H.E. Fahad Abdulrahman AlJalajel expressed gratitude for Mindray’s support during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has laid a strong foundation for collaboration. He emphasized the desire for Saudi Arabia to further strengthen partnership with Mindray.

We look forward to establishing broader and more localized cooperation with Mindray. Our goal is not only to move forward together but also to engage in a mutually beneficial partnership that accelerates our collaboration.

President Wu Hao introduced the Intelli-Digital Solution of “Device + IT + AI” that Mindray provides to address the current global healthcare challenges. Through various actual cases from all over the world, he illustrated how Mindray solutions effectively addressed local medical issues and improved healthcare quality. In the context of Saudi Vision 2030, Wu Hao highlighted Mindray's capacity to provide innovative solutions for early detection, public health safety, and enhanced home care. Moreover, Mindray is focused on strengthening its presence in the region by accelerating local production.

Additionally, NUPCO and Mindray signed a strategic MOU to enhance future cooperation in healthcare development.

Mindray’s Strategic Planning Director, Dr. Tommy Tan, detailed how Mindray’s Intelli-Digital Solution can aid in the healthcare transformation. He particularly analyzed the common challenges faced by the Saudi Arabia healthcare system and those of China and countries around the world. The valuable experiences Mindray has accumulated globally is of great value for Saudi Arabia, and can assist the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Health in achieving the goals of cost control and reduction, as well as enhancing quality and efficiency.
