Mindray achieves NEN 7510 certification for information security

Mindray Medical Netherlands BV has successfully earned the NEN 7510-1:2017 + A1:2020 certification for information security across the business.

?

The NEN 7510-1:2017 + A1:2020 standard has similar principles to the ISO 27001 international standards for data protection. It provides a framework for information security which is tailored specifically for organizations working in the Dutch healthcare sector.?

?

The standard is set by the Royal Dutch Standardization Institute Foundation (NEN) which encourages the development of standards for products, services and processes at a national level.?

?

By securing a NEN 7510-1:2017 + A1:2020 certification, Mindray has proven that its Health Information Security Management System (HISMS) meets the right requirements for safety, reliability and availability.?

The certification is a welcome addition to Mindray’s accolades for Information Management:?

  • Mindray’s global HQ in Shenzhen, China, became one of the first Chinese companies to get both ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 certifications in the healthcare industry in December 2020 and also recertified in December 2023.
  • Mindray Europe achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification in March 2023 in all business fields across its 9 locations. This includes its North-West Europe Regional Office and the European warehouse and distribution center in the Netherlands.??
  • Mindray North America recertified ISO/IEC 27001:2013 in January 2024 for the third consecutive year.

Following successful implementation and audits, the NEN 7510-1:2017 + A1:2020 certificate covers information security related to all areas of Mindray Medical Netherlands BV business, including:

  • Transportation, handling, storing, repair, and maintenance of the medical devices;
  • Enabling the provision of sales and marketing services for the product lines Patient Monitoring and Life Support (PMLS), Medical Imaging Systems (MIS), and In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD);?
  • Supported by Operations, Logistics, Service, Human Resources, and Finance departments.?
